How many diapers in my stash?

Hello girls..I'm currently preggers with number 3 and am going to cloth diaper for the first time..I already started buying diapers and testing them out on various babies(nieces and nephews)..they work very well for the price but I am wondering..how many diapers do I need in my stash..I am using pocket diapers for nighttime ease and covers with inserts during the day as they are less bulky than the pockets and all in ones..I have 15 pockets so I figure if we change baby twice in the night thats a weeks worth of diapers and I imagine I'll wash them well before..I don't want stinky diapers hanging around..but how many covers should I buy..Ive read between 6-8 covers is adequate..I am thinking 10 to be safe..I have already purchased 50 of the inserts that work with the pockets and covers so I think I'm set there..Advice from those that have gone before me?

For a newborn I recommend 2-4 dozen diapers in your stash. I had 2 dozen diapers and we washed about ever day and a half.

I'm using the kawaii system of diapers..They make pockets and covers..Ive tried them on several children already and they are awesome.I'm thinking that at least while baby is in newborn stage I will use sposies just because I can't justify buying diapers that they'll only use for a month...I'm thinking 20 covers so just I have a lot in case some wear out and for the price of them thats not so bad...I also do have some prefolds in case the inserts prove too messy..Ive tried the covers with the inserts and havent had a problem with getting poo's on the covers so I think they'll be wonderful.

Seems like you've got a good handle on the quantity that you'll need. Do you have the bamboo inserts or the microfiber ones?
Just FYI, something that I do not understand about the Kawaii diapers is that they sell the microfiber inserts for use in the covers. Usually those types of inserts are only used in pockets because microfiber directly against the baby's skin can be very irritating. The MF sucks out skin oils and is prickly. Some companies get around this by putting a skin-friendly layer on the MF (like the BG Flip). If you end up having problems, then you can add a layer of fleece or other skin-friendly fabric on top of the insert. There are also insert socks that you can buy to cover then and protect the skin.

thanks tons for the advice..I do have 20 fleece and bamboo liners as well so they may do the trick..I'll have to wait for little one to be here so I can test it all out.
