What was or is your preferred newborn diaper?

My DH and I used the pampers swaddlers disposable newborn diapers with the little cut-out for DS's umbilical stump until it dried up and fell off.  Then we switched to small sized prefold cloth diapers and covers.  Thirsties duo wrap with velcro (aplix) closure in size 1was my favorite newborn cover.  They held everything in!

What worked, or didn't work for you?

I love thristies size one, rumparooz, and softbums as newborn diapers. As long as you are not too tired to put them on tight enough they all will hold in everything.

my little guy isn't here yet, but the diapers are on order! these ones snap down to allow the cord to be exposed. i ordered these today from a local company (and they're already in the mail, woo hoo!) called newbie diapers. i'll try to come back on here once i know how they work. i think i'll wait until after the first few days (or however long the meconium lasts) before i start using the cloth diapers. i have pampers swaddlers at home right now, based on several recommendations for disposables.
