Hello, I am new here. My baby is 5 1/2 months. I have been EPing since the beginning with a Medela PIS. it has been hard. I started pumping because I always felt failure at getting my baby to latch on. I think it comes from a few generations of no breastfeeding in the family...they say it is supposed to come naturally, but not when no one in your family was supportive! I regret not trying harder. This is my second child that I EP for. It is quite different this time. The first time I was young and didn't know what I was doing. I didn't even know I was supposed to pump as often as possible. That was 8 years ago. Fast forward to my second child and I am pumping 7-8 times a day. My supply has begun to decrease from the usual 3-4 ounces per pump and let down is becoming a lot longer or not at all. I began some visualization techniques and that seems to help some. There is a reason I think there has been a change in supply...I might be pregnant....waiting another week before Preg test.
I was wondering, is my supply decreasing because I am EP ing or maybe because I am pg?

I guess it is hard to say exactly. It sounds like you are pumping long enough per day. Perhaps just be sure you are eating well, staying hydrated, and maybe try pumping after a nice hot shower to see if that helps with letdown? I imagine you are already doing compressions etc. Maybe try the herbs? I do know some women dry up with pregnancy OR perhaps AF is coming? I know that can temporarily decrease milk supply. I hope you are able to figure it out soon. Good Luck!
