Ok..so since the birth of my daughter 2 weeks ago Ive been having such a hard time with my supply..Ive been pumping every 2 hrs around the clock and getting maybe an ounce every time..but sometimes in between pump..about and hr or so after the last..I feel a completely random letdown...so much so that the pads I have in my bra will be soaked and I need to change them..should I try pumping more often or what? Ive never had thi happen before..

Just curious but are they actually random or are you letting down for your baby at a time when you aren't nursing? I occassionally get let downs when I'm very involved with DS while crying or cuddling or something like that. But I don't get them while I wash dishes or feed the dog or do things that are not baby related. So are these totally not baby related, or is it happening while you interact with your child but are not nursing or pumping?

For like the first 2 or 3 months I got "random" letdowns ALL the time. In the beginning since I was recovering from damaged nipples I never wore a bra, only loose tank tops. I would go through like 4 tops a day because I would soak through them. I got them when she cried, when it was time to pump, when we were cuddling, and alot of the times for no reason at all. I'm 7.5 months postpartum and it's been months since I've had a random letdown. Hope this helps =)

I find that either doing an activity that uses my chest muscles (such as picking up something heavy), or doing something that jostles my boobs (such as running) will trigger a letdown.
