Going out while EP?

Hi,

I have been EP for 5 weeks as my daughter doesn't latch :( I am struggling with how to go out as I have to pump every 2-3 hours. How can I have a life when I am tied to a pump? Any suggestions for how to maintain normalcy while EPing would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same probelm in the beginning until I was able to spread my pumps out more around 3 months.  If I had to go out, I would be completely ready to walk out the door (ie car packed, dressed/makeup, etc) and then pump & feed/change my daughter and leave.  This helped to buy myself the entire window of time before the next pump session.  Medela (& I would assume others) make car chargers and battery packs for pumping on the go.  I have pumped in my car while parked with a sweter drape (looks like a small sheet with a hole cut in it for my head) several times....just don't foget lids and an ice pack!! I made that mistake once :(  At first, I was really worried that people might see me, but people are so engroseed in their own lives (& mobile devices) that I am not sure anyone has even noticed.  Hope that helps!
