Super shields

I recently had to buy a new set of accesories for my breast pump, but the flanges that came with the new set were 24mm and I had used 27mm. I have been searching the web for new flanges my size and came across super Shields. They claim to be better than the original flanges that come with pumps. They don't cause sore nipples, clots, and have been more productive in getting more milk. I have purchased on their website but did not recieved them yet. Had anyone used this product? And if so what is your thoughts on them? How have they worked for you? Things like that.

I didn't use the super shields, but I hope you will report on them once you get them. I'm sure other ladies would want to know whether they are worth buying or not!

Yes, I recieved my super shields. I love them! I did notice that I didn't pump that much at first, but now it's back to normal, I really don't see an increase in my supply but they are more comfortable. I have been using them for about 2 weeks now, so maybe I will increase.

I purchased these and tried them once. For me, they don't seem to be a great solution. They *are* much more comfortable than my normal shields. However, the system for wearing them (this kind of string harness thing) is much less user-friendly than my usual pumping bra. And for me, I often get up to another 1/4 ounce from the valve parts and shields by very carefully removing them after pumping. The harness with the super shields doesn't seem to allow this -- or maybe it would just take a lot more practice.
Again, I've only tried them once so far, and I didn't experiment with the sizes, either (they send you three sizes to try) -- but I saw no appreciable difference in output -- in fact, I got less milk and was way more frustrated afterward. Other users, though, say they've saved their lives -- so I may give them another try at some point.
