Question regarding single pumping

Is it possible for someone to respond better to single pumping rather than double pumping? I know they say double pumping is better but i was just wondering if there are some that produce more by just pumping one side at a time rather than both?

I always find double pumping more productive because my let down usually happens on boths sides at the same time. But I see no reason why single pumping wouldnt be better for some. I'm sure others using this forum find single pumping better too. x
