Advice About Pumps

I'm hoping to find some advice. I have been exclusively pumping to breastfeed my son since he was born. He's now just about 9 and a half months old. Just today I have started having problems with with my pump and it may come down to having to buy a new one. He has stayed off formula so far and being so close to a year I'd really like to keep it that way. I'm hoping to get away with buying a smaller single electric pump to save money. I never could get the hang of double pumping anyway, but I've also had no supply issues to date. I have a manual pump to get me through for now. Looking online, all the reviews are split down the middle... my biggest worry is buying one with terrible suction. So any recommendations on a cheapish single electric breast pump with ok suction?

I do not have any advice for  buying a single, electric. I recommend a double, electric if you EP! Do you have insurance? They are mandated to give you one at no cost due to the new Affordable Care Act. But the ordering process might take some time. Have you checked Craigslist? Again, with the new Affordable Care Act, there are a lot for sale! And if you would buy new tubing, it would be safe in my opinion.

I should have also mentioned that by using a hands free pumping bra, double pumping is so much easier! You just hook up, the bra keeps the pump parts in place and you are hands free to multi-task! :)
