Increasing supply after 4 months?

I've been exclusively pumping for baby since he was born. I pumped every 2-3 hours the first few months, at about 3 months, when my milk supply was established I got comfortable and may I say lazy as well and decreased the amount of pumping sessions to about every 5-6 hours. He is now 4 months and I have noticed a decrease in supply. Is there a chance to bring back the supply I had or is it too late?

Hi there,

I don't think you got lazy, pumping is hard work! :P You should be able to get your supply back up, just add in more pumps. Maybe go back to every 3 1/2 or 4 hours and see if that gets you where you need to be, and if it's not enough go to every 3 hours or so for awhile. At 6 months I dropped down to 3 pumps a day, and after awhile(and getting my period back, ugh) I took a big dip in supply and had to go back to 4 pumps a day. After a week or so my supply came right back. The more you pump, usually the more you will get. Good luck!
