Making the switch at 5 months

Hello all!  I am newly joining the EP club.  I BF my DD for 5 months and she has been struggling with nursing.  She has slowly been refusing the breast and I think I've finally come to terms with the fact that she just prefers the bottle.  I'm sad but still motivated to give her BM for at least 6+ months...so here I am!  I am experienced with pumping while at work but could use any advice for how to make this switch smoothly.  I'm interested in a schedule.  Do you pump right before they need a bottle or after?  What do you do with baby and/or other siblings when you're stuck to the pump?  And, also how do you make this most efficient?  I'm taking double time now to feed my baby and I'd like to still attend to the rest of my life as well!  Thank you in advance for any help :)

Hi!  I am new as well.  I have been pumping exclusively for 12 weeks now.  I am definitely still learning as I go, but here are a few suggestions to your questions.  If I am by myself, I feed my baby in a bobby right beside me while I pump.  It is not the most convenient thing, but it really cuts down on the time.  I try to have a something for my 3 year old that can keep her busy for 20 minutes with us like coloring, a snack, etc.  I wear a BF cover when she is present...just to cut down on the million "why" questions!!  Also, I really felt tied down to my couch, so some other things that have helped are a hands free bustier and a battery pack.  This provides a little more mobility.  Hope that helps!
