Hello all,

I am trying to establish my supply and am currently using a hospital grade pump. However, my rental is up soon and I would like to go ahead and buy my own pump, since the rental fees are pricy. I am 6 weeks postpartum and am not anywhere near anywhere I need to be as far as supply goes, but am trying. Can you tell me if the regular Medela pumps are adequate enough for me to try to re-establish my supply, or should I suck it up and continue using the hospital grade pump?

I also use a second hand PISA. Not right from the beginning, I was renting a hospital grade Ameda till about 7 months, just thinking I would quite every month, so it's not worth investing into a new pump, lol. Then I got handed down a PISA and gave rented pump back, and never regretted it. I never had problems with it, and I'm almost 14 months EPing now. Actually I rebuilt my supply once with it, after loosing almost half of my supply from mastitis. I think this is a very popular pump used by EPers. Also if you have a new one Medela has a very good customer service, if you do have any problems with it.
