Well, my due date was yesterday and still no baby!

Hi Jess,

I think it's great that you have the lactina to start with since it's a hospital grade pump. I have heard they are big, but car adapters are available for them.

I used a Symphony for the first 9 weeks or so and then switched to a freestyle...I think the Lactina is a good idea for the first month or so when you probably won't want to go many places with it anyways...if you seem to have a good supply, I say go ahead and switch to the freestyle then. The first couple pumps after I switched to my freestyle, I noticed a decrease but it has since evened out and I'm getting the same I did with the Symphony. The freestyle is great becaue you can strap it to yourself or put it in your pocket while using it so I'm a lot more mobile than I was attached to the Symphony. I don't know how loud the Lactina is, but the Freestyle is louder than the Symphony was...it's not like hear at the other side of the house loud and I'm used to it now. Good luck with your upcoming labor!

i have a freestyle and totally love it, it is very portable and hands free, you can walk around the house and get some chores done while you pump. worth every penny

I started out using Medela advanced but at 3mths my supply dropped and I couldn't keep up, the LC advised me to use the Medela symphony from the hospital, it is cmpact and quiet and I have had it ever since, I have pumped for 9 1/2 months now and still going strong. mothers milk plus is a great product too and I keep it on hand. The symphony is expensive at 60 a month but cheap in comparison to formula and the health of your baby but must admit that I am looking foward to her turning 1!!

I think the Freestyle is just as good at the Symphony in the hospital.
