My daughter will be 6 months old in January and I have been exclusively pumping for most of that time. We started pretty rough with breastfeeding and due to posterior tongue tie and other issues it just didn't work for us. I have also been struggling with supply the entire time. I make enough to feed her but barely. I average 28-30 oz a day and haven't been able to change that in the past 2 months. I have read all the info and have even tried Fenugreek. Not drinking water will cause a dip in my supply but increasing the amount I currently drink doesn't do anything. Nothing I've done has helped an increase but small changes definitely cause a deacreas. I work full time and per my company procedures I can only pump 2 times while I am at work and they have to be pre-determined. I am able to pump 6 times a day. I tried seven for 2 weeks and did not increase supply. My current schedule is: 3:00am, 6:00am, 10:00am, 2:00pm, 6:00pm and 9:00pm. I cannot change this much due to work schedule and commute to drop her off in the morning and pick her up at night. Sleeping less than the 5-6 hours I get is just not an option for me (when I try to add a pump at night supply actually drops).
Please help if you have any advice. Since I am able to produce enough (for now) I don't really want to try the prescription. I worry that she will want more milk eventually though and I have no idea how I can make that happen. Thank you for your time.
