Please learn from my mistake! Frozen milk handling

First let me say thank you to the people on this board. I could not have made it six months eping without this board! I was able to store up enough frozen milk to last me another 2 month of exclusively feeding bm. Here's the thing. When storing away your breastmilk in the freezer bags please be careful with them! I took the bags after being frozen solid, crammed them into larger ziplock bags and in the process tore holes in many of my bm storage bags, only to find out upon thawing. So please, if I can prevent this heartache for anyone- BE GENTLE WITH YOUR STORAGE BAGS AFTER FREEZING!

Thanks forthe heads up! I just did the same, put all of my bags inside a bigger ziplock bag. What brand were your storage bags? Thanks!

Try thawing your milk in a tupperware, then even if it leaks out of the bag, you can use it.
