There is a lot of different things you can purchase but in my opinion they don't work if you are freezing a larger amount. I use the 6oz mothers milk bags, then I get about 10 of them and put them ziplock freezer bags and label with the oldest date and put them in my deep freezer.. Hope this helps

I use Lansinoh (sp?) milk storage bags, freeze the milk flat, then stack them into large gallon ziploc by date. I then label the outside of the gallon ziploc with the month and store them in my freezer in such a manner that the oldest milk is in the front.

You might want to look into milk donation. I don't think you can donate the milk you've already frozen but if you get "approved" to be a donor you can donate your future excess milk.

When DD was in the NICU, the LCs there recommended I donate bc I was pumping 60-70 oz a day of preemie milk which apparently is in demand. We bought a deep freezer when she was in the NICU too bc my storage space in the NICU, Ronald McDonald House, my SIL's freezer and our own freezer were overflowing with bags and bags of breastmilk. I didn't have any kind of organization to it and I didn't end up donating last time. DD had frozen breastmilk until she was 6 months old.
My problem has been that I pump enough per day that I can fill up the large storage bags quickly with one day's worth of milk in the Lansinoh bags. Normally I can fit 6-8 of the breastmilk bags into a Ziploc storage bag. It's a little more organized but my freezer is filling up quickly still... I guess I should go ahead and get the ball rolling with WakeMed!
