Contemplating Domperidone

It's been close to three weeks for me since I started pumping exclusively with no increase in my supply. I am pumping every two hours with at least two motn pumps, taking blessed thistle, fenugreek, and mother's milk tea with seemingly no results. I am still putting baby to breast for a few minutes a day, but she does not latch properly and leaves me too sore to pump if I let her go too long. I am seriously considering adding dom, because it is so frustrating to have all this time taken up pumping to give her one bottle of breast milk every 24 hours. My midwife is not hip to the domperidone so I would be responsible for my own dosing. My question is where can I get it at a budget price, from a safe vendor, without a prescription?

I bought mine from www.inhousepharmacy.biz. That's where most of the ladies on the board have gotten their dom. I didn't even do a price comparison with other sites, because reputability was really important to me. I had a good experience with them, and I've never seen anyone say they bought dom from another online pharmacy. Some ladies do get dom from compounding pharmacies, but I think that is more expensive and does require a prescription. Inhouse Pharmacy does not require a prescription. It was cheaper to buy larger amounts at a time, so I bought a 3 months supply.

Each person is different, but I can personally attest that Domperidone was the best thing I ever did.

This board is a lifesaver, I'll tell ya. I'm pretty sure I would've given up by now if it wasn't for encouragement from you ladies. I went ahead and ordered the dom because I've still not seen an increase. All I've gotta do now is hold out til I get it and it kicks in. I hope I can manage once I start back to work. I am still trying to get the LO to latch, but I feel like my boobs are defective and she finds it impossible to work the milk out. I don't have a problem pumping, although I do feel like it ties me down and takes time away from her. But I'm going to stick it out til I see if the dom works, and maybe someday her little mouth will get the hang of nursing. How do you ladies handle people that can't understand why you don't just nurse?

A lot of my family members either saw or heard the frantic screaming DD did when I tried to get her to latch and nurse, so no explanation needed for them. MIL was the only one who made a big deal out of nursing versus pumping, and DH told her very firmly that it is none of her business. Others have just been curious, so I just told them she wouldn't nurse and pumping was the only way to get her BM. My family and friends are all very supportive, especially after I built enough supply to start donating. Our babies are getting BM, and we should all be commended for that. :)

I agree on the dom! Im starting my 3rd week and its helped me tremendously. I just increased the amount I was taking and that was the magic pill for me. I also just started leaking at the start of almost all pumping sessions. Plus I just got my previously non existant period for the second time in a month! boo!

Im still working on getting my lo to latch also (shes 4.5 months) and its tough! Personally only my family and very close friends know that I pump vs nursing. I figure its no ones business how I feed my baby anyway so why advertise? I used to feel the need to explain why but now I dont even bother. Thats just me though!
