Hi, I know this has been asked frequently, but I want to drop to 2 pump a day and am worried bout drying up. I currently pump 3 times a day, producing average 65oz. My DS doesn't take frozen milk, therefore I don't have a freezer stash(I share my milk with 2 other friends). I have searched the forum history and I don't think there is a definite answer as to how long we can keep our supply with 2 pumps a day. My DS is 7 month old and I plan to pump til he's 2. Well,my plan is to drop to 2 pump a day, and when he turns 1, I'll drop to once a day and see how it goes from there. Do you mommies think its workable?

wow--at 3 pumps you get 65 oz a day? That's great! I did 2 pumps for about a month at the tail end before I weaned and I took a big supply hit, down from around 20oz at 3 pumps (daughter was only eating that much at that time anyway due to solids) to around 12 ounces at 2 pumps, but I don't feel that I was drying up completely or anything like that. I don't know how relevant this data is for you, since your production is so much better than mine was. I hope that a high volume pumper will post her thoughts for you.
