Well I can't help you with your first question as my babe is only 6 months, but although I don't have a shoulder problem I have developed wicked tendonitis in both my wrists. I have to do a lot of compressions & massage while pumping and I think that's what caused it. It is very painful and I have almost dropped my DD a few times because my wrists will spasm unexpectedly :( It's worse during the night and first thing in the morning. I go back to work in October and am worried that if it doesn't get better there are definate aspects of my job that could become a problem. I am a veterinary technician and the last thing you want when dealing with an angry rottweiller is your wrists to start spasming :o I hope you are able to get some answers and things improve soon. Great job pumping to 10 months!!

I will be interested to see how much other mama's LOs are drinking...mine is 10 and 1/2 months and having 4 bottles a day totalling 19-20 ounces. I have been told this is not enough, but she definitely lets me know when she's hungry, and there is no way I can get her to drink more. Also she is having enough wet nappies, full of energy all day and exceeding milestones so I think we should trust that our babies know what they need. My LO also drinks a lot of water, don't know if that has anything to do with it as she is not needing her thirst quenched by the milk.

As for the shoulder pain, I have not had this, so I'm sorry but I am no help there

My son is 7 months now and he drinks about 1000 mL a day, plus eats about 6 - 11 tbsp. of cereal powder (Heinz stage 3) and a couple tablespoons of jarred baby food and an arrowroot cookie. He has a great appetite, it has been around 1050 mL lately, but before we added in cereal he was drinking up to 1400 mL a day.
