Celebrating the 6th Month Mark!! :) And Need Some Advice

Yeah, I made it to the 6th month mark as of yesterday!!! I'm thinkinging about doing this a year (half way there anyways) but I'm still just taking it day by day.

I was wondering how some of you ladies only pump 4X a day and get plenty of milk for your babies. I still pump at least 6 times a day sometimes 7 but sleep through the night. I find I like to pump every 3 hours because if I go much longer than that I don't get as many ounces. For instance if I pump after 3 hours I usually get 3 ounces but if I wait for 5 hours I'll only get 4 ounces if I'm lucky. It would make my life so much easier if I could pump less though. Any ideas or suggestions to increase my output with longer streches of not pumping?

I had the same experience you are having. I think I was able to drop to 5x around 7 months, and then to 4x around 9 months. I tried fenugreek and more milk plus (was already keeping the oat industry in business and drinking tons of water and eating plenty) and some power pumping, but it was just never in the cards for me to drop pumps early. My LO started eating a lot less at 9 months when her solid food intake increased a lot, so that allowed me to drop pumps. Hang in there--when your little one gets good at eating and is up to 3 meals a day, milk intake should decrease some, and possibly a lot. My daughter dropped from a high of 28oz to 18 or so oz a day.
