Does it get any easier???

Hi. I am new but am soooo glad to have found this site. Just wish I had sooner. I am 11 weeks postpartum and have been point exclusively since 1.5 days pp (major latch issues). I of course started pumping just anytime after LO ate. Now I am pumping 5X/day and MOTN about every other nite. Sometimes he sleeps thru nite and so then I do too. I have not tallied my output/his intake precisely. But I do know if I pump this way, & eat/rest well, I make a surplus of at least 6 oz each day which I have been freezing for about a month. My original goal was 6 weeks....then 8....10...12 is my goal now. I'm just wondering how long must I keep up 5X/day? Sometimes it is just too much and I become very frustrated/tired of doing this. I'm basically wondering does it get easier? Id love for LO to have breastmilk for 6 -8 months even a year. But I just don't think I have the energy to keep up this pace for that long. Thanks in advance! Blessings!!

Totally agree with pp! I never even thought I would make it past 6 months! But I just took a day at a time first, then a week at a time, then a month...now here I am still EPing, my son turned 15 months two days ago. He never had any formula, and did not start on cow's milk yet. So it is doable, and it gets much much easier as time goes by! This board is a great place to get help and support. So hang in there and you are doing a great job and giving your LO a great gift! :)
