I have been exclusively pumping for about 9 mos now. However, the last few days I have only pumped about an OUNCE total at each session. I pump 3X a day, morning/noon/night. What could cause such a down turn???? Help!!! Nothing has changed, not weight, not diet, and....

You probably already know this, but pregnancy can cause your supply to take a nose-dive. Could you be pregnant? If there's any way, you should probably take a test because fenugreek isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. If not, could it be ovulation or that AF is around the corner? If so, a cal/mag supplement supposedly helps, but from what I've read many women also have to add extra pumps in too in order to get their supply back up. I haven't had my first PP AF yet so don't have personal experience.

If none of the above apply, I'd try the fenugreek and blessed thistle together, because they work best together. Good luck!

Not pregnant. I'm new and don't know what AF is or PP. My cycle? Yes, I have had it twice now.

Sorry. AF is aunt flo, and PP is post partum. If your cycle is about to start that could be what's causing the drop.

Another thought I had was that if you haven't changed the valves and membranes in a long time (especially if it has been much more than a month), you should try changing them. I remember someone a while ago also had a dramatic supply drop about 6 month into EPing and tried everything she could think of to figure out what was wrong. It turned out that changing the valves and membranes solved the problem, rather quickly. It's hard to notice the gradual loss in suction, but if it has been much longer than a month since the last change you'll probably notice much stronger suction afterwards.

Oh just thought of other things that could cause your supply to drop are your getting your period .. i think someone mentioned that.. if this is the case the way to avoid this is to add back a pump or two....
