Most you've pumped in one setting//.....

Ladies I am wondering if how much capacity we have determines how we will do with less pumps??

I slept in 4 hours past pump time yesterday and pumped 22 ounces. with #3 I pumped 24 one time (45 min. pump.)
I am wondering if women who can hold this much are more successful at even 2x a day and keep a higher supply??

What's your experience?

Wow 24 ounces!

The most I've pumped so far is only 15 but I have one retard boob. If I doubled my good one it would have been 20 ounces.

Do you switch small bottles mid way

16oz in one go is my most. That happens every morning though as my last pump is at 10pm and then I dont pump until 7am and I always get 14-16oz. I usually give the whole lot to my 2.5 year old though as it seems really, really watery (im guessing TONS of foremilk) so I dont give it to my baby girl as I dont want her to get gassy.

I'm pretty sure the most I ever pumped was when I feel asleep at the pump for an hour...lol I had to clean up a lot of milk from the carpet and both my 8oz bottles were full...ahh sometimes I just laugh to get through it :-)

I also get the most at my first am pump. I sleep from about 10 pm to 4:30 am and get about 17oz. I'm sure would get more if slept longer, but so far couldn't make it- get too engorged and it gets painful.

I pumped like 23 in one morning pump before.

Teeny_3--if you have a Medela PISA you can use the tall skinny Gerber bottles as collection bottles. I found that out last time I was EPing and was beyond happy to figure that out! I use the Gerber bottles to store milk too. The Medela yellow caps fit on them too. I am ordering a cap set from BRU (finally found one!) so I have more and can toss the dumb Gerber rings and nipples I have to have on them currently. It is beyond helpful to have 9oz catch bottles when you are a HVP.
