Wow, I can't believe you are still pumping 6X a day.

I agree with Dawn: it's time to drop pumps. I don't think many women lose oz. from 6 to 5 or even from 5 to 4. (Some even GAIN oz. when dropping pumps.) I am down to 4 and find it to be MUCH more manageable than 6 was.

And, great job! Amazing! I hope to make it to one year myself...you are a role model for the rest of us EPers!

I agree with pps. Drop pumps! I am not feeding twins like you are but now that you are at the one year mark, maybe you can feel more comfortable with not supplying so much of their need

We are almost at 15 mo mark. I am still pumping 2x/day and have been doing that since 10 months. I have consistently gotten 20 oz/day on this schedule. For reference, I was getting 48 oz @ 5x/day, 40 oz @ 4x/day, and 30oz @ 3x/day (as far as I remember...)

Drop down to 5x, see how that goes. Give it a week or two. Then drop down to 4x and see how that goes.

I am just about ready to drop to 1x/day at the end of this month!

Wow, you must be pretty tired! I don't suppose you get much chance to catch up on sleep through naps either?

My daughter didn't really have any interest in solids until about 15 months, so I was still going strong with pumping at a year. I can't remember how many pumps a day I was doing at 12 months. I think it was just four or five.

My AF came back at 1 year PP, when I dropped to two pumps.

7 months postpatrum here, 4 ojmps per day, and no AF. I've heard many people say AF came back when dropping to either 3 or 2 pumps.

"Let me ask you guys a personal question--did AF return when you started dropping pumps?"
Yes, it was about 3-4 weeks after I dropped the night pump. That was one of the reasons I'd kept the night pump so long. But in the end I decided that I liked sleep better than I liked being period-free.

"Also, how much milk do your 1 year olds drink?"
About 750ml, which is around 24 ounces I think. But my daughter still wasn't on solids. The volume of milk she drank every day stayed just about exactly the same from the age of about six weeks right until she started eating other foods at about 15 months.

My period came back around 5 months pp. Come to thinkof it, that's about when I stopped pumping in the MOTN too. I have the Mirena IUD, so I don't actually bleed. I just get a few chin pimples and some really mild cramps. I probably wouldn't know it had come back if I wasn't paying attention.

My kid is only 9 months, so I don't have an answer to your other question. Sorry!
