Yesterday I made it 11 hours between my early morning and late afternoon pump. I am pretty psyched! I am dropping to 2 pumps, but taking it VERY slowly.
I probably could have made it the full 12 hours yesterday, but one section of the R side was harder than I thought it should be, so fearing a clog, I did a full pump.
I am pumping for just under 30 minutes at 5 AM, just under 30 minutes at 4 PM (hopefully later today), then doing a quick 10 min evening pump before bed just to help ensure my BBs don't wake me up before 5 AM. I typically make more milk overnight than I do during the day.
Is my plan of gradually pushing the afternoon pump later going to work? I would love to get to a 5 AM / 7:30 PM schedule in the end. Not sure if I should push back my afternoon pump while simultaneously dropping minutes on the evening pump, or just hold the afternoon pump at 12H later and cut the evening pump - THEN push the afternoon pump back, etc.
We have the beginners guide on the board, now I think we need the 'quitters guide', LOL. In the early days I always assumed weaning would be super easy and straightforward -- that I could just stop. Oh how wrong I was.... :) Probably better this way or I would have given up a long time ago.
