Does Qai eat other dairy products like cheese, yogurt etc ? is he allergic to those ?

If yes, then I would be careful with the milk too. Else, I would probably start with smaller amount and if he is showing any allergy symptoms, then I would probably turn to Soy milk, goat milk or Rice milk etc rather than toddler formula and my reasoning is at one point in time or the other, he has to get off the formula, so why not now itself ?

Also, I have heard from somewhere that the toddler formula has too much of sugar in them and the formula companies who has done an awesome job with the infant formula has not done that good a job with toddler formula. So thats it.

Also, I have 2 cans of sample toddler formula (enfamil next steps), if you decide to go down that route, let me know and I can send you those if you are interested.

i was going to put ian on toddler formula, but he's allergic to corn and the samples we got in the mail had corn products in them.

we haven't actually bought him much milk, but he gets it at daycare.

if you're worried about food allergies, you can always get an allergy test for him at an allergy clinic. that's how we discovered ian was allergic to corn (and wheat, and eggs, and peanuts, and beef!).

if he's allergic to cow's milk, maybe goat's milk will be okay? i'd ask a doctor to be sure. or you can try soy milk.
