My DS is 3 months 3 weeks old and can only fall asleep when rocked with a pacifer in the mouth.

Hi there,

I can certainly understand why you want to get your DS on a regular sleep schedule before you go back to work!

Do you have a current bedtime routine? I think I would try to make bedtime as calming as possible. Maybe a warm bath, book and snuggles prior to a good feeding will help get him nice and drowsy. I would try laying him down in his bed with him still awake but really drowsy to see if he'll go to sleep on his own.

Here's an few iVillage articles about Sleep Training that may give you some more ideas as you get ready to jump into it. They may give you some more tips and ideas on how to make things go as smoothly as possible for everyone.
