My DS is 3 months old and will only fall asleep when rocked to sleep.

Oh...I want to add that he also needs a pacifier to fall asleep along with the rocking. Just to add to things and make it even more complicated. And if the pacifer falls out before he's asleep...he freaks out and I have to get the pacifier back in his mouth and start all over.

im no expert but i think since hes rocked to sleep now youd probably have to let him CIO i personally think hes too young for that. my pediatrician gave me the ok at 4 months she told me to let her cry around 20n min that i could check her but not talk or hold her. though i think prime sleep training age is between 5-7 months. only crying it out never worked for us developing a bedtime routine has. bath books bottle/boob-then pacifier and bed. sometimes shes aslee[ before i put her down sometimes not and she whines and rolls around until she goes down. it may not work now but introduce ur DS to an attachment object a blanket or toy cuddled when eating and going to sleep that hell eventually use to comfort himself to sleep, i think u just have to hold on for a while longer my DD wasnt sleeping at all at this point rocking or not

Thanks. I guess you are right, he might be a little too young at this point. I was just hoping to avoid a habit that I have to break later.
