DS will be 7 months old next seek. We ST at 4 months, and he is a great night sleeper. He goes in his crib awake and puts himself to sleep. BT is between 6& 7 depending on his last nap. He will sleep straight through the night without any waking/feedings till 6 or 7 the next morning. My issue is with his nap. He will not sleep longer than 30-40min in his crib. He wakes automatically amd will not go back to sleep. If I lay with him on the couch he will sleep anywhere from 1-2 hours. I uusually end up laying with him for at least one nap a day, or we have a day full of crap naps and have a hard time making it to bedtime. I had been using wake times of 2.5 hours, putting him down at 2.25 and he would typically be asleep in 15min. Lately he likes to play and roll around when I put down, and it can sometimes take an hour to get him to sleep, only to have him wake 30min later. I am going to startstretching his 2wake time a bit, PD at 2.5 hours. I tried this today and had the same result.
Any suggestion?

Hi Rachele,

I'm wondering if maybe he has gotten so used to napping on the couch with you and it has become a habit for him. If it were me, I'd try to put a stop to that. It may take a few days for him to adjust to napping in hi bed without you (and they may be miserable days!) but I'm guessing it will help.

Good luck and let us know how things are going!
