Hi all.  I posted this over on the breastfeeding board too so I hope you don't mind me posting here as well. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

My baby girl was born on December 15th and breastfeeding is going well.  Baby is gaining weight nicely and overall I'm enjoying breastfeeding her. My biggest issue is the pain though!  I swear that when she latches on, my feet curl it hurts so bad.  I've noticed a few cracks too.  Anything I can do to get rid of this pain? Will it just go away after we've been breastfeeding for longer?  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

Cracked nipples and toe curling pain are not OK. I'll look around for a good internet resource, but if you have any lactation support already, you may want to have someone check the baby's latch. If only one nipple is painful, you might favor it and focus on the other until this resolves.
