OK..so Im a mother of 3 and have never before been obsessed with poop..but my daughter seems to make me a bit nuts about it..See she's had horrible "reflux" since birth and even the medication isnt helping..Im thinking she may have an allergy or some sort of malaborption issue but IDK..my question is..Is it normal for a 2-3 month olds poo to be mixed colors..When my daughter goes its two-toned..usually a mix of pale green and mustard yellow..kind of like the inside and outside of a peeled avoccado..and about that consistency as well..she is on formula for reflux that does have rice starch in it so maybe thats why? I wondered if maybe it was a sign she's not absorbing the fat from her formula or something as she's not gaining weight and is almost under the 5th percentile for weight..Should I try nutrimigen or pregestimil? Her doctor doesnt seem overly concerned yet but she's almost 3 months old and still wears newborn diapers..its insane..help

Fat malabsorption causes undigested or barely digested fat to pass into the stool.

The BM doesn't concern me but if you're honestly worries about how she's absorbing see a pediatric GI doc I responded to your other post as well. It's possible ur LO has a dairy allergy if so formula will reek havoc on her belly. Depending on where she started i wouldn't just be worried about percentiles. I have a friend who's 1 yr old is still in size 1 diapers. I'd seek a specialist opinion.
