Yes, about 8 months is when the separation anxiety kicks in. I use to let my kids play in the shower, on the floor, while I took my shower. Or I'd drag the activity center into the doorway where they could see me and I'd play peek a boo with them. Good luck!

My 9-month-old started caring whether or not I was in the room about a month ago. Total life-changer! Plus, he's teething, so I think he's feeling kinda sad, anyway. Poor boy!

...keep going!

I think 8 months is the age they have severe seperation anxiety. I cant even leave the room with out my DD losing her mind. I know its a handful i feel like i do nothing all day because id ont want to hear the crying... but then again like all their other stages this too shall pass- i just hope we dont smell in the mean time !
