What do you give your little one to help them deal with pain from teething?

Hylands voluntarily pulled their tablets but they still have teething gel on the shelves. That's what we're using now and it works immediately. You can also get Gentle Naturals liquid teething remedy at Walgreens (etc) that does not have the homeopathic belladonna which was the ingredient people were concerned about. We used Gentle Naturals teething remedy with great success as well.

If they will chew something cold things we have used in the past are: a spoon from the fridge (not freezer), frozen bagels, frozen fruit in a mesh feeder.

MOtrin all the way. I've heard they're recommending MOtrin at a younger age now, but double check with your ped. (how old is Spencer?)

Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought about using a wet washcloth. I'll have to give that a try!

Hi Hope,

My oldest two loved their binkies and I'd toss them in the freezer for a bit before giving them to them when they were teething. The frozen pacifier really helped relieve some of the pain they were experiencing. We also had those teething toys that you can freeze- the boys loved chewing on them frozen or not. I hope you find something that works for little Spencer soon! Teething is not fun (for anyone)!
