Hello, I was reading another thread about separation anxiety and wondered if anyone else's baby doesn't have it at all?

I think it shows how safe he feels with you. He knows you wouldn't let just anyone take him.

My kids have never had separation anxiety. I'm a SAHM so I don't use a sitter regularly. I've often wished they had just a little bit! It's a little sad when your four year old runs out the door for her sleepover saying "don't worry mommy I won't miss you".

Thanks, maybe it is still to come. He is getting very determined: he grabbed a piece of fruit from the shopping cart and started chewing it today. I told him no cause it was dirty and didn't want him to bite off more than he can chew, and he gave me the most devilish look, like" try to stop me mom!"

I think it is just fine that he doesn't have separation anxiety- consider yourself very lucky! My guess is that the exposure to other caretakers at the gym has helped him a lot. Some kids have separation anxiety really badly and some not at all. I don't think his not having any is a cause for concern at all!
