Wyatt is sick ... I think. LOL He is running a fever 99.0-100.3 degrees. His head feels super hot on the top and back. He his tempals, forhead and face are not warm at all. He did not sleep well last night at ALL. Wyatt spent most of the night (from midnight on) laying in his bed or my lap whining and dozing off but never really sleeping. Which meant I never really slept either. He is hot and obviously uncomfortable but other then that seems fine. No runny nose. No congestion. No cough. No ear pain and they look clear. He is eating very well and has not vomitted at all. If anything I think he is sucking down more milk in the last 24 hours. Which is a good thing so that he stays hydrated while having a fever. Wyatt is actually in a halfway decent mood despite feeling bad. I have been giving him Tylenol and that helps some. His temp comes down to the 98 range after the Tylenol. The back of his head is still hot and he still seems uncomfortable. I don't know if he is actually sick or if it is some nasty teething symptoms. It is frustrating because I don't know how to make him feel better because I don't really know what is wrong. *sigh* I am probably just worrying about nothing. I don't see any reason to call the doctor. They would probably just tell me to keep doing what I am doing. Not going to waste a phone call or a trip to town for that. DH is coming home from work an hour early because I absolutely can not call in sick today. We are so short staffed tonight I am ALMOST the only person working tonight. And I obviously can't leave the residents home alone. LOL So I have to go into work. I don't want to bundle Wyatt up and take him out if I don't have to. My MIL can't be around him if he is sick. Because of her lung disease even the smallest infection can become deadly for her. Plus I don't want to drop off a sick and screaming baby with them. That is not fair to them or to Wyatt. I put new batteries in his bouncy chair and his swing this morning. Hopefully we can either bounce or swing him into resting more. Cause mommy needs him to get better and sleep better tonight so that mommy can get some sleep herself. LOL Mommy needs a nap!

He is much better now. He even slept through the night again for the first time in a week. I still feel like I have sleep to catch up on. LOL

I took Wyatt to the ER Wednesday night when I got home from work. His temp was up more and would not go down with Tylenol. DH said he just laid on his lap and whined all night long. When we checked in his temp was 103 degrees! They gave him a large dose of ibuprofen for the fever. The doctor checked his ears and throat. He ran urine and blood tests. This is the second time they put a urine collection bag on Wyatt and he pooped to seconds later. LOL He never peed into it though so they had to cath him. Wyatt was pretty pissed off about that. At least they were smart at this hospital about getting blood from him and did a finger prick instead of trying to take blood from his arm like the other hospital. The blood test showed he was fighting off both a bacterial and viral infection. But they could not find the source of either since the only symptoms he was showing was a high fever and fussiness. So they sent us home with out much more known then when we walked in. It was frustrating but at least we knew it was not anything really bad. Wyatt is doing better today. He is still a tiny bit fussy but he is a lot better then he was. The fever was gone by Saturday. I am hoping he sleeps through the night tonight. I miss that so much right now. LOL
