A year ago right now we were in pure hell. We were stuck in the hospital with Wyatt hooked up to and being pumped full of all kinds of crap that we didn't want. They took what seemed like gallons of blood from a newborn baby. And now a year later we still have no real answers. The best they can offer us is "there are red flags" but no he does not have the metabolic disorder VLCAD or any other variation of it. And yet they will not give him a clean bill of health. *sigh*

I hope things are looking bettter for Wyatt. It must be horrible to go through what you are going through.

Oh, Amy.... how frustrating! I can't even imagine the worry you've been dealing with. If you don't mind me asking, what are the "red flags" they are talking about? Weird that they can't give a diagnosis but refuse to give him a clean bill of health either. I'm so sorry you've been dealing with this for so long.

I am not really sure. They just keep saying there are "red flags" in the testing that hints to the possibility of a metabolic disorder. But the test is not positive. I just think they don't want to admit that maybe they screwed up.

I have a strong feeling that on Wednesday they will just say that there are no new notes in his file. That is what they said at his 9 month appointment.

Okay... that would just tick me off! LOL! Have you thought of getting a second opinion or maybe changing to a new doctor? How frustrating for all of you!
