Freezer stash?

Hi all,
This is my first post here. Everyone seems really helpful, so I thought I'd run something by you. My LO is 13 weeks and this is his 2nd week in daycare.
I started pumping a few weeks before returning to work and now I have a huge stash. LO eats 9 oz at daycare - he is there from 7-4. I'm currently using the frozen milk for his bottles, but I'm only on the stash from mid June. I was concerned about this milk not being what the baby needed since it is over a month old. I pump 3 or 4 times at work and get from 11-16 oz a day. Baby eats from the breast 5-6 times when we are at home during the week and exclusivey from the breast on the weekend.
Should I start sending fresher milk to daycare? My supply seems good, so I'm not really concerned about not having enough milk.
TIA

Welcome! Your little Ryan in your siggy is so cute!! :-)
I know lots of moms rotate their freezer stash by providing all frozen milk one day a week, the rest of the week fresh - or the first bottle of every day is frozen, the rest of the day fresh. That way you use up some of your oldest milk but your baby still gets the benefits of the milk you are producing for him right now.
Personally, I never rotated my freezer stash. Prior to 6 mos old I always produced a little extra, but after 6 mos old I just kept up with Maya's needs and didn't freeze any. Pretty much left the whole lot in the freezer (I had to buy an extra deep freezer) until Maya was about 11.5 mos and I reduced my pumps at work. I just stopped pumping and now she is going through my frozen milk like crazy! I'm mixing it with cow's milk until she gets used to cow's milk.
Hi and welcome!

Thanks for the responses! I think I'm going to start sending fresh milk to daycare the majority of the time. I'll pump at work and use that day's milk for the next day's bottle and freeze the excess. Then on Mondays I'll send frozen. Does that sound good? The milk will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days, correct?
That sounds like a good plan :)
Fresh milk can stay in the fridge for 7-8 days, so you'll be fine.
