My son is about to turn a year in a few weeks and I have just started weaning off the pump and living off my freezer stash until he can get ows milk at 1 year.

I work at the hospital I gave birth at and the lacttation consultants have always been there for my nagging questions and insecurites from the begining when I started BFing until the end with my weaning questions. I want to get them a small gift to say thank you for their help. I know that its their job so I dont want to go too overboard.

I'm not sure if it's too much for your purposes, but an "edible arrangement" is a nice gift and healthy, too :)

When I hit a year of bfding, I called and thanked the lactation department at the hospital where I delivered -- they were so awesome and helped

I think a small edible arrangement for them to share would be a great idea.

I do like Heather's idea of a potted plant, too ... that's a gift that keeps on giving :)
