Lansinoh pump or Purely yours?

I'm researching some pumps, the LC suggested today that the electric pump would help prevent a recurrance of mastits and that with the plan we had previously constructed I should be able to continue WITHOUT getting sick again.

I really don't have the budget right now

I have 2 pumps and one is a Lansinoh....

At first I was ready to ditch it, but the customer service is awesome and they sent me some free things and now it works better for me then my Medela Swing (single electric.)

Actually, the Lansinoh pump is actually just a purple version of the Ameda Purely Yours :)

I have the Ameda PY and like it. It's a good pump, has good features, and has lasted a long time.

But if you can rent the hospital grade for cheap, I'd do that.

I got Lansinoh pump and I LOVE IT! Its been wonderful so far.

The only problem I have is that my nipples swell, and Im pretty sure I just need larger flanges.

Have you used it on battery power? I was suprised how well it worked with AA batteries, but was wondering how long the batteries last? I don't use it on batteries often, just if I'm in an ambulance that doesn't have an outlet that works.

I ordered the larger horns last time I was using it, and I have to admit, I must have lost one (along with the hose and power cord to my medela swing) so I am using the smaller ones and am getting the same problem as you are.

I have only found parts on their website so far, but they're cheap so I guess its okay! I was reading you can use any Ameda Purely Yours parts, that they're all interchangable-- but I haven't tried yet, so I can't vouch for it.

Where did you get a vehicle charger for it? I checked the website and haven't seen one.. did I just not look hard enough?

I sort of cheated on the car adapter.
