Hi all!

I have a 3.5 mo DD who just went through a growth spurt, and I'm trying to increase my production so DC can offer her more milk, if needed.

Hi there, I thought I would chime in.

I just went through a few weeks of a pumping increase to boost supply. For me, I was only pumping twice a day when I first went back to work, at 11 and 3pm. I felt my supply was getting sluggish, so I started adding in a pump, so 8am, 11 and 3pm. I was getting the same amount that I was with the 2 pumps, so I was getting frustrated, HOWEVER, I ended up switching back to the two pumps a few days ago (was kind of a scheduling issue at first, but kept it up) -- and I do feel that I get more out of those two pumps than I did before I switched to three, does that make sense? So I think that before I was getting on average a total of 11 oz a day, which reduced to 9 oz, then after my pumping boost, I am now getting 13.5 or so in those same two pumps. For me, it was two weeks of the extra pump session and I'll let you know if my supply reduces again. I should also add that I had to really keep up on my water intake and I take 4500 mg of Fenugreek a day, eat oatmeal a few times a week and drink Mother's Milk tea throughout the day. Who knows what worked first, lol!!
