Sarah had a regular clinic visit today and she was admitted.  Her FEV1 wad 65. She's never been that low before.  The strange part is that she hasn't been sick all summer.  She had a cough start yesterday, but nothing else. This is her first hospital stay in over 8 years. Its only been 5 hours and she's already antsy. Its going to be a long week.

That stinks :(  I hope that the time passes by quickly and she's released soon.

She's out! She got out yesterday. She missed the first day of school, but that was it. It was a long 6 days, but we weren't really worried about her, just stressed by all the coordination that goes into hospital stays. She did a trial of IPV while in the hospital. She didn't like it.

Back to normal life, now.

I'm glad she's home. We're always bored in the hospital too, and it always stressful dealing with all the different people coming in and trying to time who's doing what when.  And it depends too on if you have a private room (which U of M has for all the kids rooms now! YAY!) and have to share a hall bathroom with other parents.  And I know completely how shocking it is to get unexpectedly low PFT results.  This happens frequently with Paige.  There's never any indication that she's sick besides a slight cough and next thing I know her doctor wants her in the hospital.

Did Sarah get another PFT before leaving the hospital or are they waiting a bit?  Sending P&PTs that she has a healthy year!
