Please let us know how it goes, I'm glad that you don't have to wait very long for it. I'm assuming his last meal is tonight? I hope you don't have trouble with him not being able to eat in the morning, and that you are the first appointment of the day.

We went to the ped this morning and they only said they needed to check his fasting number and that's it, it was 92.

That's got to be frustrating for you to have to wait for the answers. Please let us know what you find out, ((((HUGS))).

I honestly wouldn't worry about a 159 with OJ being a few hours earlier, also, he most likely had ketones in his urine because he hadn't eaten yet that morning. Ketones in the urine are hours old. Typically little kids will have some ketones in the am from going all night without eating. It sounds like he went longer than typically without eating but had some OJ. I think what you are seeing is normal. I saw your post below that his fasting was 92, thats great. Definitely keep an eye on him and if he starts with flu like symptoms go to the ER, but I think what you're seeing is normal.
