Exactly! Problem is, it's a private school, so they can kick us out if they want to. I'm waiting until we have his CPSE evaluations to really put up a fuss, because we won't know until then where he stands and what services the state will provide. Just spoke to his classroom teacher today, and she was raving about the huge strides he's making in speech in just the last few weeks. September is eons away in toddler development time. Biggest reason we're resistant is a) we both work FT, and the center-based programs are only a few hours a day instead of daycare length, and b) our older child was shoveled at a horrible one for "behavior issues" that turned out to be undiagnosed vision impairment (we threw a fit--he's now in a gifted program with thick eyeglasses).

I completely agree with you! Short of openly questioning the principal why you are getting the pressure, I would start asking questions of the teacher and see if she has any concerns. I hope you all are able to come to a smooth answer and easy transition! It is really hard when their is tension about an area.

I think you have every right to be annoyed. Go get them mama bear and make sure Aaron gets all the support he needs! Hugs you are dealing with this added stress!
