Alex is our miracle baby. He was greatly wished for and greatly loved. He was born in a time of complete chaos-my husband had his second brain surgery and was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, we moved to a new house and I took a new job. When we visited the Duke Brain Tumor Center for the first time, the doctor looked at Alex (who was lustily nursing at the time) and said, "You had that child naturally? He is a miracle baby." The chemo my husband took his first go around with cancer was suppose to make him infertile.

Alex is easy-going and jovial. He is always laughing and running. He is eighteen months and climbs everything! He is tall and skinny and still will not sleep through the night. He is quick to anger and quick to forget. He loves to spin until he is dizzy and then he runs into the couch and falls down. He is fun to watch and a delight to be around.

Congratulations on your Miracle!!! He sounds like both a joy and a challenge at the same time. Just what every family needs.
