Healthy dinners your kids like?

Does anyone have recommendations for healthy dinner recipes that your kids actually like?  I try to cook healthy, especially with dh and I both on WW, but the boys are always complaining.  I asked them today what their favorite meals are, and just about everything Alex mentioned, is fairly high in WW points.  He is big on carbs and not so big on protein, unless it is of the breaded variety.  I try to make healthier versions, such as oven fried chicken instead of deep fried, but the WW point values are still pretty high.  Lucas had more healthy options mixed in there, but a lot of the things he likes are time-consuming and not feasible for a weeknight dinner.  He's big on beef, so-so on pork, and not too fond of chicken.  Any ideas?

Oh, geez. This is a hard one!  I struggle with the same exact thing.  We tend to get in a big rut around here and we just cook what we know they will eat, and I adjust my meal to make it WW friendly.  For example, we'll made tacos and I use the low-carb shells for myself, double up on veggies, use ground turkey instead of beef, etc.  When we grill burgers, I make myself a veggie burger instead of a beef burger.  When we have spaghetti, I use spaghetti squash instead of noodles.  It is extra work, but it is better than them not eating at all and me wanting to pull out my hair!

Are you on pinterest at all?  I follow WW over there and they post a lot of yummy looking recipes.  I have several marked to make.

I am on Pinterest but I don't use it too often.  I didn't realize you could follow WW on there.  I'll have to do that!

I didn't even think to follow them until the last week or so. Really you can find most businesses there now so I've started following a bunch. Sparkpeople is another one you can find there and they post a lot of great things.

My kids are so picky, I don't really have any suggestions for you. I wish I could just get mine to eat more fruits and veggies. I've been pushing fruit a lot for snack time.

Ugh. I struggle with getting them to eat fruits and veggies too. Landon is pretty good about it as he'll try most of what I'm eating, but Jacob won't touch them with a ten foot pole! Cooper is good too- he'll eat carrots and apples for snacks a lot. Just not sure how to get them to eat as much as they need.

I am happy to say I made a WW pot roast recipe on Saturday, and the boys both loved it!  So, that's one healthy meal I can make at least!

My dd is away at college and she hates the food because it lacks lots of veggies. To my ds that sounds like heaven!!

YAY!! That's great that they both liked it. I always feel like I won a prize when my kids like a new menu item. Ha!
