Who's been taking advantage of the recent sales on school supplies and new clothing?

Do you stock up for the year now, or do you pick up items throughout the year as they are needed?

Anything unusual on your supply list this year?

I bought the basics (notebooks, folders, binders, pencils, and erasers) a few weeks ago at walmart.

Yikes! That stinks that they are out of things already. However, is it just me or do stores already have winter things out? I noticed winter coats at the store the other day and it made me laugh. I mean, it is still close to 100 degrees here every day!

There is definitely winter merchandise out! It's crazy. I can NOT shop for school stuff at the end of June. These kids grow and my luck nothing would fit come Sept.

I finally found stuff online but had to order from 3 different sites to get what I needed and will still have to take Ben shopping because he is too hard to size now.

I've been taking advantage of deals on school supplies all summer.

I just buy things as they're needed but having winter stuff out already drives me nuts!

I will never forget that years ago, I was shopping for a swimsuit for DH in August. We lived in FL and I ever tried 'the FL store' as Bealls fashioned themselves at least at that time. We were going to the beach in Sept and planned on getting wet. FL, Aug-Sep - still swimming season! Heck, we've gone swimming in Nov & Dec!! Jan & Feb are usually the only months Floridians won't get in the water ;-) but they still might try to tan! LOL I still stick my tongue out at the store if we ever pass a Bealls. (What? Me hold grudges?? Only for the really stupid stuff. LOL)
