We have NOTHING going on this weekend. Such a weird feeling! I think I'll spend some time organizing and doing little projects that need to be done. Hopefully it is a nice and relaxing weekend!

I am so glad it's Friday! This hasn't been a brutal week, but I just needed another weekend.
We have a pretty jammed packed weekend. Richard and I are going to a birthday party tonight. It's at a restaurant close to where I work, so it's kind of a bummer that I have to drive home and then come back to this way - oh well. The boys also start swimming lessons this weekend. I'm excited about that. Christian took this class last fall and he failed badly. He's not our strong swimmer and that's why I put him in swimming lessons. We almost had a drowning incident last summer at a friend's pool. He went in the deep end w/out his life jacket on. I didn't even see it, so that was when I put my foot down about him needing to get back into swimming again. I told him we'll just keep putting him in this same class until he passes - no matter what it costs.
Justin has a birthday party to go to on Saturday and Christian has one to go to on Sunday. We also have a visit planned in there to one of my college friend's house. She just had her third child. It's a little boy. She already has two girls. I've never been to her house, so I'm looking forward to seeing it. Her and her husband had this house built two years ago. They live out of town, but it's only about a 20 minute drive away. It'll be nice to have a little baby to hold again. I love babies - A LOT.
I'm going to need another day off after this weekend is over ... lol.
Have a great weekend everyone :)

How scary about the near-drowning, Shari.

Oh gosh that's hard to beleive. I'm sure Alex knows that it's important for him to know how to swim, but there must be some kind of a wall between him knowing and wanting to learn that is keeping him from doing it.
Christian is trying b/c I do a lot of bribing ... lol. At first, he wouldn't even put his head in the water, but then I started taking his computer time away and then I told him that I would increase his 2 hour computer time to 3 hours (of course for one day on the weekend, that's all we allow). He bought into it and by the end of his swimming classes, he was putting his head under the water, once for sure. He still failed, but it's a start and I am good with that. He'll improve. This round, I'm putting Justin in the same swim class with him, so he might have some motivation. Justin is 15 1/2 months older than Christian and can do world's more than Christian can, but they are two different boys - like night and day. Still, I don't want Justin to be over-confident when it comes to swimming. He still has a lot to learn as well. Good luck with Alex!

I'm glad the "bribing" works with Christian.

It'll come with time Laura. My mom didn't learn to swim until she was 31. She finally took swimming lessons. She never used to panic or anything like that, but she had such a bottom heavy bottom that she would always sink. She's not fat by any means, but it was hard for her to stay afloat. She does just fine now.

Phew, what a crazy day! First my car had major issues last night, learned that it was caused by the oil change place that I took it to in December. As a result, they are replacing my engine :( Hopefully, I'll have my car back on Thursday. Luckily there is no school on Monday, and Ken will get home early the next two days to handle sports.

On Saturday, Sean is finishing up soccer with two games in the morning, than the team party right after. He also starts basketball, and has two games at 4 and 6! It's going to be a very long day...

On Sunday, will be on the internet a lot ;)

Sorry to hear about your car Melissa, but glad someone is being accountable.
