God blessed us with a boy and girl. I loved the Lego things, Rescue Hero's, I cracked smiles at the fart noises. I love talks about girls, school, and computers. I love going to band concerts and cheering him on in his sports!

SO many things... so I'll name just a few today and will add more as I think of them.

Crazy as it sounds, I love grass stains and the ring around the bathtub.  It lets me know they've played hard and have had a good day.

I love cheering them on at baseball games.

As much as I cringe, I love their silly potty humor.  Who knew farts were so amusing?

I love how much they love their mama.  I have mama boys for sure!

How cute! Even though I have one girl, she was not a girly girl either. No tutus and braided hair even with her. I love... piles and piles of muddy laundry, like you said, it means they had fun. Watching them play games..how intense they are Potty humor; although I try to limit the amount of it (but that's hard when Daddy gets involved) Watching them rough house with their daddy. I'm sure there are so many more.

I think what I love most about being a mom to boys is the foreignness of it; the being pushed outside of my comfort zone and introduced to things I otherwise wouldn't have experienced.  I did not get to go see Les Mis, but I have seen every Batman and Star Trek movie, and I found to my surprise that I actually sort of enjoyed them.  I have also loved watching my boys grow into the kind of young men I would want my daughters to date had I been a mother to girls.  And I have loved watching the male bonding that has taken place between my boys and their dad, their grandpas, their uncles, even knowing that I will always be outside of that to some degree.  And I love that at the end of the day, these young men who put on a stoic face to the rest of the world will come to me with their worries and their weaknesses and be able to relax and be themselves.
