I thought we could just do a general check in thread.

What's new in your life lately?  What are your children up to?  Any plans for the remainder of October?

It's November now, but I'm going to post anyway :) Being non-hockey parents, we had tried to discourage hockey to the boys, but Justin had asked me a few times over the course of the summer if he could play this year and so I finally gave in, but there were strings attached. I told him he couldn't just give up karate and he had to grade for his next belt and test for the first stripe on his new belt and well ... he met his goal, so now he is playing hockey for the first time in his life. He's also only ever been on ice skates less than 10 times in his life, so he's not a very strong skater. You'd think that with us living in Canada, he'd be a pro at the ripe old age of 10, but it's just not something we've ever really been into. He doesn't mind though and seems to be a natural anyway, so he'll improve greatly by the end of the hockey season, I know for sure. He's really loving it! Also, I've decided to give my place a face-lift, so I'm having my house repainted and I've had pot lights added to my living room and I've bought new furniture. Get this ... everything is going to be white. Yikes!!! A white house with three small boys? I know it sounds like I've lost my noodle, but I needed the change. I needed things to be brightened up in my house and this is going to do it. It's costing me a pretty penny, but I'm excited and so are the boys :)

White? You are crazy! Hahahaha! Just kidding. I'm sure it will look amazing once it is done. It will brighten things up for certain- and so much fun to get a new look!
