Just one more thing to worry about!
oh, not again. look, i dont want people smoking around my baby and i gave up smoking when i found out i was pregnant. i understand that smoke is bad for the baby but come on...3rd hand smoke? if all this anti-ciggarette propaganda was as true and scary as they make it out to be, pretty much all children who were born before the 80's would be dead by now.
i know im probably going to sound nuts but im sick and tired of hearing that everything causes cancer.
all these experts say all the time is dont smoke anyting smokable, dont drink anything tasty, dont eat anything tasty so you can live a long long time.
if i follow all those rules, what makes them think i will WANT to live a long long time?
I know exactly what you mean! I heard years ago that spinach causes cancer. REALLY?? Spinach??
I'm so glad I don't know many people that smoke anymore and that I don't hang out with them very often! I was like you that I smoked until I found out that I was pregnant. I don't miss it at all!

Once she was diagnosed with asthama, she made her younger sister, her parents and her SIL not smoke around her, and our house smoke free.
I know they always ask about family history and maybe there is a strong tie there but it does seem to be awful random at times too.
I was at my ob/gyn yesterday and they told me it was time to get my 'it's great to be a girl'ogram.' With the recent news recommending getting one every other year, I asked about it... The dr and her assistant highly recommended getting the annual exam - for somebody my age. The assistant shared a story of a woman who faithfully got her mammogram every year except one - it wasn't a good thing. :(
It's good to go see the doctor!
I *have* to get that every year due to Fibrocystic Breast Disease.
