Hi group! I have a dd who just turned 3 months old. We have not had great success thus far in the baby wearing department. I have a moby wrap and have used it with varying success... The main problem is that dd doesn't like it very much. I've only been able to use it when she's sleepy, and then she fusses and cries and tries to pull away from me until she gets too tired and falls asleep. I think this is mostly because she's had an aversion to being held against you since she was about a month and a half old. She likes to be held facing forward and will cry and arch her back if you try to hold her against you (like facing over your shoulder). She is starting to tolerate this a little better. But point being, I've been wondering about wearing her forward facing but have heard that it can be bad for a baby's back as it's hard to get that seated position (and now of course I'm all worried about getting her positioning right even facing toward me). I've seen YouTube videos that show how to use a moby forward facing but wonder about the safety. I also have a ring sling but have had zero success with it as I can't figure out how to make it feel secure. I guess my question is if there are safe ways to wear a baby forward facing? Can it be done with a moby? Or do I need a different type of carrier? Also, has anyone else had an lo who initially hated being worn but eventually grew to like it as they got older?
